Oddly enough, I became a voice over talent by happenstance! The local transit agency was looking for a new, fresh, and feminine voice to record their accouncements for their downtown mall shuttle. The mall shuttle is used by thousands of people daily, and the accouncements are crucial in assisting the pasengers in locating and getting off on their desired stops, as well as relaying important information about connecting buses and shuttles. My friends who work for the agency recommened me, and I was hired to do the voice overs! It was my first voice over job ealier this year in January of 2006.
My voice was eventually approved by the transit agency as the new official voice for the mall shuttle accouncments, and my voice overs were installed in all of the shuttles in July of 2006! It is very exciting to hear my voice over recordings on the shuttles, and know that thousands of people are hearing my voice over talents everyday!
I was once again asked to utilize my voice services for the same transit agency for voice mail greetings for their information line for a new train service opening in November of 2006 that was metro-wide. I completed the voicemail greetings in September of 2006, and am the official voice for this information line for the new train system that just opened! My voice over work for the train system information line can be heard at (303) 299-2000.
Much of my ability has come naturally, and I have had several classes regarding voice, public speaking, and communication during high school and adult college. I am also a professional singer in a local band, and have been singing since the age of four. I have had and continue to engage in professional voice training.
One of my most unusual vocal talents is an uncanny ability to "mimic" various accents; and not just accents-I am also able to "mimic" the way someone talks or sings!
