I am fortunate, as I am very versatile and can quickly change my voice into almost any style desired. Rich and smooth for narration, warm and professional for on-hold messaging, natural and fun for commercials, expressive and articulate for audio book readings and /or medical copy or- just light and sexy-whatever your project requires. My voice is mass-appeal as I have no accent -unless your project requires the use of one(or more). I was raised in the south and so can provide authentic southern accents as well as a very diversified assortment of character voices which I will happily provide upon request.

My Voice Experience

I have been in radio broadcating since I was in high school. When I was 17, I went to the local radio station in my town and told them that I wanted to be a DJ. They were a little patronizing at first and tried to trip me up by having me 'cold read' a difficult piece of copy, but to their surprise, I won the day and the job by my flawless presentation. Boldness has magic in it. Since that day, I have worked for many radio stations and have voiced thousands of commercials, promos, narrations, industrial presentations, on-hold messages, audio books and character voices.

My Training

I have over 20 years of voice work experience including but not limited to radio broadcasting. I have been a traffic reporter, a news reporter, a copy writer and editor. I am also an author of my own books. My life IS my training. I'm always finding new ways to hone my skills by interacting and networking with others in my field(s) of interest and by attending classes and seminars to enhance my abilities and career. Life is for learning.

Additional Skills

I'm one of those people typically referred to as an "over achiever". What can I say? A few years ago, my mother developed back problems so I decided to become a professional massage therapist. I enjoyed the work and found it to be very helpful to others and gratifying for me, but voice work is and has always been my first true love. It is my calling, and I just don't have time to do massage work professionally any more. Most people do not realize the medical background that a 'professional' massage therapist must have. I am very blessed in having this knowledge which gives me a natural edge with medical pronunciation and narration.
