My Voice Experience
I have been voicing primarily local (Rhode Island) clients over the years that include:
The Pride Auto Group, Newport Grand (TV and Radio), CCRI, and Roger William's University. Additionally I have recorded several political spots and have also done some out-of-market work through a number of regional recording houses. Recent work includes HealthMarkets, Whistler Blackcomb's Peak 2 Peak (Vancouver, BC), Barefoot Lawn (Seattle, WA), Tribal Vision, Countermotion, The Woonsocket Prevention Coalition, Golf Business Magazine, The NGCOA, and Comcast.
My Training
I'm a Communications major from Boston College ('86) and have been a broadcast (radio) professional since 1987. I have been an on-air talent, Music Director, Program Director and most recently in sales and marketing. In my more than two decades in the industry I have held radio jobs in the Boston, Providence and Hartford markets. I have been working with Marla Kirban, vocal coach in NYC, since 2008 (with whom I cut my demo) and with Bruce Kronenberg for promo and narrative direction.
My Studio Equipment
I have access to a broadcast-quality studio through my radio station. We use Pro Tools, RE 20's and RODE NTK mics and I have a phone patch for clients that would like to supervise a session. Basically I have all the amenities that one would expect at a professional facility. I also have (at home) a MacBook Pro with a RODE NTK and Logic Studio.
Additional Skills
I have been working in radio sales and marketing since 2000. As such I have a solid understanding of not just the programming side but also the business side of the industry. I write commercial copy, record it and even sell it. I have connections in the worlds of VO, the record industry, radio/TV and the advertising industry. I am also the President of a non-profit arts group in my community.
