My Voice Experience
Phil Reader has spent twenty-five years working in the UK public sector in a variety of roles including the organisation of conferences, events and study tours. Originally from Stoke-on-Trent, Phil has lived in the East of England (apart from a brief two year foray into South Wales) since the early seventies.
In the seventies Phil was a DJ at a club in the Potteries and on college radio presenting an evening soul show. Phils musical tastes are varied; however, soul music and particularly northern soul are his real passion.
He is an experienced public speaker and has frequently presented to large audiences of delegates as well as introducing speakers and guests. He has produced and presented training courses on various subjects including personal safety for lone workers.
My Training
Phil has attended the Voice-Over Masterclass with Gary Terzza
Phil is a trained facilitator and project manager.

Additional Skills
One of Phils most embarrassing experiences took place at a conference when he was introducing the former Prime Minister, Tony Blair MP and the former Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott MP. Prior to taking the stage he was asked by John Prescott, who he had met on a number of occasions, what walk on music was going to be used to introduce the two key speakers. Without thinking and very loudly he replied Bring on the clowns..! Faced with two very un-amused politicians and fearful for any future career, he then said actually there will be no music played we will walk on to the music of the applause from the audience. Thinking he had redeemed himself the party walked on to the stage to be met by complete silence!
