Voice Description

My voice has been described first and foremost as flexible. It carries authority and wit, without sounding dry or run-of-the-mill. I have a good lower register and nice resonance, but a youthful and hip sound. I do live, on-camera, and on-mic pieces equally well.

My Voice Experience

I spent two years as a cable television producer, frequently recording my own voiceovers for ads airing in northeast Florida. Before that I was a college radio DJ. I am also an actor who is frequently cast specifically for my vocal abilities, whether as a narrator, to read stage directions, or for character or lead roles.

My Training

I took a college semester of Voice and Speech Production, in addition to other vocal training and exercise for theatre. Much of my training has been in the field.

Additional Skills

Also an actor who can sing, with reasonable (though admittedly rusty) music reading skills. Considerable work in Shakespeare productions, with a good handling of iambic pentameter and blank verse.
