My Voice Experience

I've been performing for some time and have left my voice on a number of intimate projects such as: "Dream Girls" (highschool), Total Praise (church album),Child of The Ghetto (Poetic Hip-Hop album) several Gospel Albums. I am a spoken word artist, and a jazzy, neo-soul singer. I've been in five choirs and three ensambles. I've hosted a "Spoken Word-Open Mic" w/ my husband for two years where I also performed. I am currently in a funky, neo-soul band while recording a gospel ablum.

My Training

I have been in choirs for most of my life. The best training that I've ever had was from my choir director, Pastor Francisco Haye. He was the Assistant choir director for "The Boys Choir of Harlem". I've trained with him for thirteen years learning vocal mechanics,music psychology,articulation,vocal rests, breath control,vocal dynamics. and much more. I attended Drama classes in highschool as well as drama workshops in the community.

My current job entails watching commercials and judging the quality for a company website. This allows me to observe voice overs for vocal inflection,breath control, timing, articulation and believability. I am a writer of plays,musicals, songs and poetry.
