Dad was "The Voice of The New York Times" on WQXR Radio. I started in local radio at age 18 and did it all from news, to anchor, to rock-jock, to easy listening host/personality while working my way through college (pre-med at The University of Rochester). After graduation, forgoing med school, had number one rated evening show on 50KW clear channel WHAM Radio Rochester, NY while simultaneously holding the number three slot in the market on progressive rock (totally automated) sister station WHFM. Started doing narrations for Eastman Kodak, Xerox and Bausch & Lomb along with literally hundreds of radio and TV commercials for all kinds of clients.
Moved to New York in the mid '70s to freelance doing narrations and commercials. Voice of The American Lung Association for seven years. Acted on Soaps : Another World, As The World Turns, Somerset & Days of Our Lives. Acted in on camera roles in corporate industrial films for Boehringer Ingleheim, Astra Drug, Pitney Bowes, AT&T and IBM among others. Also worked on-air radio for WPAT, WQXR, WVIP, WFAS as per diem relief announcer.
BA degree (pre-med) in Psych and Drama at University of Rochester.
Assorted mics including AKG, Neumann, Technics and sE. I use Audacity, Cakewalk Sonar Producer, JK Audio Broadcast Host, Gearbox hardware and software interface on my Vista quad core 64 bit computer.
Proficient in almost all sports including Tennis, Golf, Skiing, Baseball, Shooting. Former Junior National Archery Champion. Many years coaching Little League, Snow Skiing and Ice Hockey. Professional photographer and teacher.
