My Voice Experience
Pete Brown's background is in radio and television and he now operates the Magic FM Broadcasting Networks.
His first on-air role was with 4TO Townsville, North Queensland as the station's youngest ever "Drive-Time" announcer.
While at Radio 3KZ, Pete (aka Harley Davidson) was honoured by a Melbourne newspaper's annual awards as "Best Radio DJ Voice".
In his home-town of Perth, Brown has been heard on 6KY, Easy Rollin 6IX, 6PR, The Eagle, Radio West 1080, and has worked more formats than most of Perth's personalities: Top 40, AC, Oldies, Talk, and now Standards, Swing & Big Band. Pete can be heard every morning from 5 till 9am on Perth's Magic FM.
In 1991, after working as Programme Director of Sport/Talk station 6PR, Pete was employed as Programme/Music Director of 1080 The Eagle where he introduced a "Hits & Memories" format. This proved to be popular with listeners, so much so that 1080 has not yet been able to equal or better those ratings.
ON-AIR, Pete has hosted various popular radio shows, including "Pete's Party", "Jukebox Saturday Night" and 6 O'Clock Rock, the party show that was heard throughout the state with some shows broadcasting from the streets of Northbridge and Fremantle
and from pubs and clubs, too.
Brown has also fronted music television shows with Channel 7 Perth, appeared on children shows, telethons and talk/variety programs. He has also been invited to audition as host of national television game shows.
In addition to his radio work, Pete is an authorised civil marriage celebrant and runs Universal Sounds DJ/MC services which has seen him hosting many functions, including:
Introducing International Acts at Entertainment Centre
Quizmaster at Quiz-Nights and Shopping Centres
Compere of half-time car give-away at Perth Wildcats home games
Master of Ceremonies at West Perth and Perth Football Clubs' Gala Banquet Auctions
Compere of Fashion Parades and Model of the Year
Guest DJ at clubs, pubs, roller and ice rinks
DJ/MC for corporate shows, private parties and weddings.
