I have a very nice, even toned voice. It can be warm and soothing for community narrations or fun and upbeat for a commercial or audiobook. I can ennunciate and use proper diction as needed for and education or business standpoint, or speak using slang and colloquial verbiage for character definition in a required role. Using my voice I can express emotions such as fear, joy, saddness and I can express attitudes such as sarcasm, snobbiness, intelligence, stero-typical southern women and more.

My Voice Experience

I'm a storyteller. As a member of the Fredericksburg Storytellers Society, I has stood in front of audiences telling my own tales or reciting those of others. In my church I have narrrated the Christmas play for two years running and after each performance, I have been told I was moving and convincing. At work, I record the voice messages for my department and I do necessary voice work for videos and comapny announcements. At home, I've read books to my children since before they were born. I have been a magician, dragon, Lion, fawn, Prince and Princess for so many years, that my kids don't know the stories when other people read them.

My Training

I studied theater and drama in High School and in College. I have taken voice classes associated with Customer Service and proper phone speaking etiquette that helps with speaking clearly. I do readings and speak in my church and deliver public addresses and awards through my work and as Public Relations Coordinator.

My Studio Equipment

I am not knowledgeable about the engineering aspect of the audio world. I would need to go to a studio.

Additional Skills

I am a Public Realations Coordinator in my current job, I enjoy doing voice work and have been called upon often to provide local services. Base don that I have been encouraged to offer my services in the voice over arena. I could be described as a "Public Angel and a Private Devil" with the various voice abilities that I have. While some of my experience is through my church , do not rule me out for review of other opportunities.
