I am regularly training, taking voiceover workshops and classes with expert coaches.

My, wide ranging repertoire include :
Real estate narration for "Talking House" transmissions (which can be heard in areas of Southeast Houston), retail narration, corporate training narration for oil and gas companies based here in Houston, and telephone voicemail and on-hold messaging systems for local and international businesses.

I am currently a mystery/suspense audiobook narrator for Houston Taping for the Blind Radio and my broadcasts are aired Saturday and Monday nights for the pleasure of print-handicapped people in Houston, Austin and El Paso, TX.

My Training

I studied drama and theatre at secondary school in England for four years, earning myself an "O" Level certificate. I am currently involved in community theatre and play oboe in a community concert band.

I worked in an office for 11 years as a customer service rep and dealt directly with the public. This was valuable experience to train myself to speak clearly and precisely. My company would sometimes use me to record the voicemail message which changed on a weekly basis.

I then became a teacher in an elementary school and delighted in creating character voices to bring stories to life as the children sat wide eyed on the story carpet.

I regularly attend voiceover workshops with specialists and coaches in Dallas and Houston, updating and refining my voiceover skills.

Additional Skills

I can bring a book to life, creating different character voices and acting out the dialogue. It's my favorite pastime and my own teenage children still ask for me to read aloud to them.

I am a very expressive person and will always take great care to ensure I produce the right sound. I do this by relying on facial expressions and gesticulations which help to create the character or mood required in my mind.
