Voice Description

I have three main sounds to my voice.

Professional:
This voice is perfect for power-point type presentations, which I have extensive experience doing live. This is also perfect for mail recordings, voice mail messages, and on hold messages. This voice captures the listener, but does not come across as leading.

Fun:
Just as the title sounds, this voice is exciting. I am able to excite the audience because of my obvious excitement. This voice is contagious, and people can’t help getting excited when they listen to it. I have quite a bit of experience in using this while working live with young children

Narrative/audio book:
This is a voice that is soothing, and captures the audience in the story while not wearing on the listener after a period of time. Perfect for long books, which I have experience reading live.

My Voice Experience

I have extensive experience in using my voice to communicate with audience of all types. I competed throughout high school in speech tournaments, and won many accolades. These included placing eighth in the national NCFCA tournament, and placing first nationally in the prose category (very similar to voice over). In college I qualified for nationals in several categories including prose. I have also been MC for gatherings of older people, while being called on to entertain groups of all ages. I have captured many an audience with my voice, and am looking forward to using it in voice over.

My Training

I have had extensive training in using my voice, though it has mainly been for live performances. I have twice gone through the CFC communication conference (once acting as an instructor). I have also taken many communications classes. These classes include instruction in military briefing.

Additional Skills

I have gained many skills that most voice over talents lack through my extensive experience in live speaking. This allows me to adjust my voice to the audience, and act several parts. I also know the wording and voice that connects with military personnel, which I can use when needed.
