My Voice Experience

I have primarily been a songwriter both lyric and melody for the past 25 years. I own a state of the art 24 track digital studio. I play keyboard, guitar, bass guitar, electronic drums, harmonica. I perform lead vocals, backup harmony vocals and engineer, produce, mix and master my on recordings. I have produced four full length professional albums, three of them in my own studio along with hundreds of demos. I have a catalog of over 200 songs. I have also produced radio commercials and jingles. I have recently decided to add voice overs to my production resume.

My Training

I am completely self taught from guitar to keyboard to engineering and record producing. I started in the early 80's making my own demos to pitch my songs. I lived in LA for six years, Nashville for eight years and I now reside in Austin, TX. I have produced 60 second radio spots that have aired on KASE and although I do not have an abundance of voice-over experience, I am confident I can easily learn what I need in order to be competent with any type of production.

My studio consists of an Akai Pro DPS24 – 24 Track Digital Audio Workstation, Fostex D-160 16 track digital recorder, Yamaha O3D digital mixer, Pentium 4 2gb computer with Sony Architecture Mastering software, Alesis Monitor-Two professional studio monitors, Alesis RA-100, Audio Technica AT4050/CM5, AKG-C1000S, 5 - Shure SM58's, 5 - Shure SM57's, Yamaha KX-88 midi master keyboard, Yamaha Motif ES rack, 2-Takamine 3253RC acoustic/electric guitars, Fender Staticaster, Ibanez SRX-500 bass guitar, Alesis SR-16 drum sequencer, 5 sets of AKG-240 headphones, various other guitars and outboard gear.

Recording is my second career, but my goal is to make it my first. I have been a leader in my first profession for the past 28 years, hold a professional license in two states and have the business and marketing background necessary to build new companies. I understand the music and entertainment business and I have owned a music publishing company for the past ten years with a number one country song in its catalog.

I have contacts in the music business and have relationships with a number of talented artists, both male and female, some of which are bilingual in Spanish and English.

My goal over the next ten years is to build a successful multi-genre production and publishing business.
