My Voice Experience
On the set of "Ethan Fromme" the director was looking for some disconcerting, raucous laughter for as background sound for the opening scene in the post office where I was playing checkers. He decided would cover the wailing of the dog next door.
In a recording of "Conan the Barbarian" the producer needed the other worldly voice a mutant creature and discovered my voice.
I have often been cast as a priest "Mystic River," "The War of The Worlds" because of my friendly look and voice.
In a "Christmas Carol" with Wilfrd Brimley I had the supporting role of Mr. Goodbody the friendly charity worker. I was also the scolding teacher. When deciding that the really didn't need to mike me for my off stage voice, Brimley said "I'm in Scotland and I can hear him.
I was a voice over in a PBS production about the Mornon's westward trek. Grigory Peck was the voice of Joseph Smith. I was a pious follower.
