Voice Description

My voice could be described in many ways: honest, pleasant, persuasive, relaxed, upbeat, excited, depressed, familiar sounding when first heard,yet very distinct from any other voice. Very fresh sounding voice...
When requested to do so, I believe that my voice can be as aggressive as a city living madman to as soft as a country living farm boy, and every variable in between. My dialect has been known completely diverse from any others. I can speak like I'm from the country, urban, sub-Urban, eastern, western, southern, "Generation X" youth, intelligent college student, average "Joe" with no personality.

My Voice Experience

At first my voice was solely used to record voice prompts for my clients when my department was fairly small. I still work in that department, it has grown immensely. So now all departments of my company approach me for recordings when they need one. The company for which I am currently employed is a marketing firm for which other major companies use us as an outsource. My voice has been used by the:
American Red Cross,
New York Blood Center,
Frito Lay,
and various credit unions across the country.
I've done greetings, on hold messages, promotional, marketing, and demonstration recordings. I primarily use windows voice recorder to record and Sony-Sound Forge to edit.

My Training

I have not had any training for my voice other than I know what sounds good and what clients at my company are happy with. When wanting "exited" they get "excited", when wanting "calm", they get "calm", and etc...

I have been a musician for 17 years.

I have done work strictly on the phone for ten years. At every job I have worked there have been many, many people who have told me I have a very good phone voice. Never once would I ever come across hostile or in any negative manner to any person on the phone, no matter what mood I am in.

I used to work for Don Lapre (Info-mercial King) from 1999 to 2001. I observed all activities throughout our business. I learned a style of speaking of how to manipulate my voice to sound many styles.
