Voice Description

My voice is mild and feminine. It has a trustworthy tone to it. I have a hint of southern accent but can also do a British accent, and heavy country. I can sound ethnic and urban. I can speak without an accent at all. I can sound deep and sexy as well as high light and childlike. I can sound intellectual for spots that need me to sound authoritative and very natural and believable. I can become whatever character is needed by the client. I also have a wonderful singing voice for commercial jingles.

My Voice Experience

I have experience serving as the mistress of ceremonies for social events and talent reviews in the Memphis community. I am a full time vocal teacher and choral director for Memphis City Schools. I have coordinated and presented numerous holiday programs Christmas, thanksgiving ,black history month honor programs and graduations as well as serving as the host for these events. I have sung with Issac Hayes (2005) I am the morning announcer for every school I've been employed with. I am often told what a natural voice I have for broadcasting.

My Training

I received my voice training in college at the University of AR in Pine Bluff. While there I was the lead soprano vocalist for 4 years. I have been under the vocal tutelage of Mrs. Evelyn Dilliard in Omaha Nebraska. I hold a bachelors degree and licensing in Vocal Music/Music Education. and have been a choral director for 20 years. I took drama, public speaking and communication courses in my undergraduate studies.
