Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I have a passion for voice over work and have always had a good ear when it comes to reproductions of sounds and voices. I am fluent in Spanish. I have an All American voice as I am LA born and raised but my parents are from Mexico. Spanish is my 2nd language. In everyday life, when I speak Spanish, I have no trace of an American accent and when I speak English I have no trace of a Spanish accent. In my workshops I had done everything from "the nervous operator" to "pompous Queen", "squeeky mouse", cats,"the soothing announcer" etc. I follow direction well.

My Voice Experience

In every type of job I have had, the employers would be stunned by the sound of my voice during our first conversation so much so that I would get the job without an in-person interview. Some work has been out of state and no need to go in. I have done work from home more so as a result. I have gotten jobs based solely on my outgoing message on my voicemail since it's in English and Spanish. I have been in sales and have made a lot of money for a lot of companies simply due to the sound of my voice. I was first commented on my voice at the age of 20, being told it was very "distinctive". I personally didn't like hearing my voice earlier in my teens recorded or on speaker phones. I now love working with my voice doing voice over, announcing and doing radio. I co-hosted a radio talk show. I enjoyed this type of work because it surrounded me in the entertainment field. I really enjoyed being exposed to the music industry which I love so much. One of my dreams is to be one of the announcers for the award shows like the OSCARS, the EMMYS and the GRAMMYS.

My Training

I have an AD degree from N.E.C. Beverly Hills/ Westwood Campus where I studied various courses in Specialized Business. Yet I truly enjoyed the Speech classes that were given there. This is where I believe I began to find my "voice". I have been formally trained in theatrical acting by Suze Lanier, Theatre coach. I have been further trained and graduated from Kalmenson and Kalmenson, Inc. in Burbank, California near the NBC studios. I Co-Hosted a Hollywood Entertainment Radio show in the heart of Hollywood called, "The Jeffrey Henderson Show". I still have good ties with show and can do "LIVE" PSAs on the show for sponsors. I have been on stage speaking at several seminars and have addressed groups as large as 1000 people. Music has always been a great influence in my life and I have been in several choirs singing Soprano.

Additional Skills

I am Bilingual, English Spanish. I co-hosted a radio show, The Jeffrey Henderson Show in Hollywood, CA., a celebrity talk show. I also co-produced some of the shows. I have written and edited nationwide material for seminars, PSAs and for company motivational nationwide conference calls. I have written song lyrics and have assisted musicians translate English songs into Spanish. I have been a member of choirs singing Soprano, I can also sing in deeper ranges too. I have done professional outgoing messages for numerous companies. I have voice clips on . I also have a commercial on makeupbyluna website that was done "LIVE" from the radio studio with no prep time and done in one take. I have done "LIVE" nationwide conference call "Intros" for companies such as World Affluent Financial, Dream Richly, Inc., World Alliance Group, etc. Many in the listening audience thought I was a pre recorded message, not knowing I was doing the Intro "LIVE". Most all the PSAs and the LUNA commercial I have done were done in one take. I work well under pressure. I truly enjoy doing voice over work.
