Voice Description
My voice is in the low mid-range and has been described by clients as soothing and friendly, with an easily accessible tone and timbre. At the same time it is authoritative and powerful for projects that require a voice with those qualities. It's a flexible voice that lends itself to many different genres and situations. I can be the guy next door or the man delivering the six o'clock news. I also have a facility for accents and mimicry

My Voice Experience
National Geographic Channel, Fox Sports Network, CBS, ABC, PBS, Hallmark Channel, HDNet. Those are some of the clients that have taken advantage of my voice talent services.
I've been doing voice over work since I was 19 years old...and that wasn't yesterday. I've worked in radio and television from small markets to the network level, utilizing my voice talents on projects of great variety and scope. Between 2003 and 2007 alone I narrated more than 100 nationally broadcast documentaries. From 2001 to 2003 I narrated more than 150 feature stories for The National Geographic Channel.
My Training
For the most part my training has come "on the job." Working at small market radio stations I had to do everything from commercials to newscasts to hosting music shows. I continued to perfect my craft at ever larger stations and markets. At the network level, I worked for five years alongside some of the giants of broadcasting such as Douglas Edwards and Christopher Glenn, learning the nuances of delivery and effective voice communication. Longer ago than I care to remember, I was involved in school dramatic presentations that helped lay a foundation for a career using my voice.

Since 1999 I've been a faculty member of an annual broadcasting workshop held at the University of Kentucky, during which I have taught experienced broadcast professionals from across the U.S. and from other countries aspects of voice delivery that reflect concern, empathy, humor and other emotions.
