Voice Description

Convincing, organized, professional, eclectic, assertive, somewhat weathered at times, reassuring, experienced, smart, cool, worldly without being world-weary, your college roommate, mellow, the friend of a friend you met at the party that night. A voice shaped and colored by moments of intense anxiety and unbridled joy.

Originally from Long Island, most people can not place my background from my voice. "Somewhere around Ohio?" is their usual guess; but I can slip back into a deep "New Yawk" dialect with ease. Also have a good ear for American regional and Irish accents.

Vocal range goes from chaste to cheesy, superior to slacker, angry to awestruck with little effeort.

My Voice Experience

My life has represented the ultimate paradox. My skills and tastes found me in the unusual position of being both a physician AND a Dead-Head. The alpha, the omega, and every letter in between...that's me. Diverse. The ability to speak to all audiences. The guy who could tutor you in Physics, and then trade tapes with you at lunch.

I remember one day in particular when I presented a research paper at a medical society meeting, sang with a band at a biker BBQ later that night, and ended the evening by whispering proverbial "sweet nothings" into my girlfriend's ear. All of the aforementioned earning me applause.

My Training

New to the voice actor game, but a long history of speaking to patients using my "doctor voice". Long history of songwriting and performing. Long history relating to the unusual mix of characters in my life. Long history of calling out my drink order in crowded Irish bars. Long history of stage acting in semi-professional settings.
