Voice Description
The Southern accent just does NOT go away! However, the voice is warm and pleasantly toned for narration - is expressive and modulates easily. I have been told that my voice encourages return conversation, confidence and trust. I am easy with simple text or the more challenging vocabulary of the sciences for example. The voice can be innocently childlike, southernly sexy, or self centeredly teenlike. In contrast, it can become crisply professional or sound like the drawl of the Appalachians! I have no difficulty with the exaggeration required for "characters."

My Voice Experience
I am an experienced participant in debate, oral readings and amateur performance on a local scale.
Writing and problem solving are my passions - and I like nothing better than to read or make up tales for children or adults and see them become absorbed in the plot. Drawing them in is the first part of the challenge...a keeping them is the best part! Doing this with only the voice is a matter of tone, timing, and word accentuation or diminution.
My Training
I am a biologist by training....and failed receiving my complimentary "teachers certificate" because I "said my I's wrong!" This began a lifelong soapbox encouraging individuals to improve vocabulary, pronunciation, competent content, and fluency of speech - but never to lose the dialect with which speech was for them developed. Thls first will always be that to which the brain lapses and to which it will be most true.
My doctorate in medical sciences was never hampered by the faulty "i" nor were the many many professional presentations I have made in both clinical and research settings.
