Being a West Indian living in London my accent has neutralised so that it's a bit of both which makes it interesting to people who hear it. However it is easy for me to go to the neutal or extreme end of my accent.

My Voice Experience

I am currently recording a radio drama called "Welcome to the Strip" at Tin Pan Alley Recording Studios, London. My character is Trix, a young bondage prostitute. This uses the character driven deep sensual darker tones of my voice.

Earlier this year I recorded a radio play, Chekov's Three Sisters at ICA Studios, London. My Character Olga, the elder of the sisters required me to use the warm mumsy, authoritative tone to my voice.

My Training

BA (HONS) Acting at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. -

This course included an extensive radio production/voice over module which spanned two years for two hours a week.

Additional Skills

Before my formal training in Radio and Voice Overs I attended a business university in London and dropped out hence I think my professional tone to my voice.

Since and through my training I have worked as a singer and a dancer which I believe gives my young urban edge to my voice.

Studying acting at an accredited drama school has enabled me to work intensively on my voice give it versatility I could have only dreamt of before. This in conjunction with my unique tone makes it very distinctive and endearing.
