My Voice Experience

I started doing voice over recordings at a local hospital in 1993. I have provided the voice for instructional video's for new mom's at a women's birthing center, an orientation guide to admission to a psychiatric facility (where a reassuring, calm and controlled voice was a necessity), voice mail and directions to a large hospital, and have narrated management and awards presentation videos. I have a large business and healthcare vocabulary and am familiar with medical terms.

On another note, in 1996 I began recording all of my son's school work on a tape recorder in order for him to complete his assignments. He was in the process of loosing his eyesight and eventually did. Once he learned braille, my home grown recording services were no longer needed! I mention this only because I quickly learned the importance and role of voice inflection.

Have natural voice over ability. All voice over training has been learned on the job and through actual experience. Am open to coaching or training in this area. It's been something that I've always been asked to do and will continue to do because I enjoy it.

Have worked in healthcare administration for many years. Am knowledgable about disabilities, nursing home care, medicare, medicaid, health care reform, payment systems, operational and regulatory requirements in health care. Am very comfortable with pronunciation and terms used in business and health care.
