I have 6 years experience as an on-air announcer for varied formatted stations (modern rock, classic rock, pop, hip hop, etc) which was myself using slightly more energy and diction than in every day life. With that, I altered the speed and context to whomever I was speaking to at that time (target audience). This included at 92.9 KICK FM (2004-2006), 100.3 The Q! (2006-2008) and CURVE 94.3 (2008-2010)
In terms of commercials, I was known to "turn it on" when it came to the sexy reads and "turn it up" when uber-excitement was necessary.
I have a college diploma in print journalism with a self-proclaimed minor in on-air radio broadcasting.
I have also been involved in performing arts(mainly musical theatre) for my whole life which puts a whole different spin on the "performance" aspect of voice-over work.
I have easy access to a studio...details to come.
