Voice Description

My normal voice is deep for a young adult which I can turn into an older man who can be serious and formal for audiobooks, narrations or news. I can also portray a calm soothing voice kind of whisper like, for documentaries or make it to be playfull and excited for radio commercials. I´m a very good imitator so I can pretty much do any american accent, ideal for cartoons or for silly commercials. I excell at a variety of italian american New York accents or southern accents, cowboys or western accents, jamaican accent. My native language is Spanish but my English is just as good. I have a particular voice talent for a wide variety of latin accents of English speaking caracters going from spaniards to cubans or mexicans which I can play to be funny or serious. And I speak native Spanish. My edge in spanish is that I´m from Guatemala and Guatemalan spanish is one of the most neutral forms of spanish because it has no accent.
I also consider myself to have a natural talent to give voices and personality to any character you desire. My voice has a wide range for a diverse variety of voices to create and give life to any character or persona.

My Voice Experience

The work I do with my voice is mainly singing and production of radio voices for commercials. All the stuff I´ve done is in spanish because I live in Guatemala, but I´m as fluent in spanish as I am in english. My work includes:

- 2 years Radio DJ
- 1 year Radio Commercials
- Podcasting 3 months
- Narration in the short movie "La Muerte de Diogenes"
- Off Voice in Theater Plays
- 6 months doing voices in Puppet Shows for Childrens birthdays

My Training

I studied performing arts for 2 years in Guatemala mainly to learn how to sing, speak and improve body language and expression.
I have studied and worked studio recording production for 2 years and have a home studio. I use Sound Forge and Sony Vegas for most of my work but I also have access to Protools if necessary.
I´m a self taught musician and sing in my own band.
Basically I trained myself by being the class clown and doing imitations and making fun of people. My extensive practice came since I was a kid where I muted the tv and spoke over the conversations of characters in cartoons, soap operas and sports interviews to make people laugh. This prepared me for radio which is where I learned more about how to deliver my voice for recordings and producing voices for commercials.

Additional Skills

I graduated college in Guatemala as a Biologist which gives me a certain edge on wildlife documentary narrations because I´m familiar with the terms and the resarch.
I´m a professional singer. I´ve been singing in my band for over 14 years. I´ve written over 60 songs both in english and spanish and this is my current job. 14 years of interviews, music videos, songrecording and songwriting gives me an advantage on how to record my voice on studio.
Also since I speak fluent english and spanish if there is a cartoon voice character or any voice that needs translation I could do it for both languages.
