Voice Description

My voice is deep, smooth and warm. It can sound very sexy and there is a quality in it that makes people thing all i do is smoke (although i don't!). It can be very dynamic but not too strict and, while it can be smiley and pleasant to hear to, i need to really stretch it to give it a teenage enthusiasm. My clients mostly characterize it elegant.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

There are not that many dialects in Greek, but i guess i am persuasive in most of them (villager style, Cretan, Cypriot) and i can imitate Americans speaking french, Italian and Spanish. (especially french, was something like a hobby to me for many, many years!)

My Voice Experience

This part almost feels like bragging!
I have worked on so many club commercials that i have lost count. As far as commercials are concerned, my voice has been used to advertise luxury items (cars to soaps!) and brand names, as long as prestigious educational institutions and great cultural events.
Apart from commercials, i have worked on documentaries (of archeological, touristic or cultural character), produced mainly by State Museums.
A couple of times i have worked as a GPS Destinator voice, internet card game croupiere and self-teaching language method voice (greek-english).
Twice i have been offered the opportunity to work as a narrator in a film but both times the script was awful and i rejected it.
My dream would be to try animation or dubbed tv soap operas. They both seem tremendously fun!

My Training

At school, my nickname was the voice, as i was chosen to do all that needed voice overs, events, bazaars, commercials and, on top of that, i was part of the drama club. While studying, i worked as a teacher and took extensive phonetics classes so as to learn how to use my voice and never to run out of it! At this point, i may need to add that i have an excellent articulation. Yet, I have never considered becoming a voice professional, although i would often lend my voice to different projects, until, five years ago, a radio agent and audio producer heard me and called me for an audition. Ever since then, i am hosting my own radio show, work as a journalist in different radio stations and as a voice over professional. Mind the fact, that in Greece there is no place one can receive official training, so the best training is ... to work a lot!

My Studio Equipment

i built my own studio six months ago with the assistance of a constructor, in a way that my clients are happy with the quality of the audio result. I would not go into detail, as the design of the studio took me a lot of time and effort, thus the result is surely not exclusively dependent on the technical equipment used. Generally, what is considered standard equipment, can be found in my studio as well.

Additional Skills

Greek is my native language but having a Greek-American nanny who wouldn't speak Greek, kind of boosted my English! I have a BA and MA, which help me be a very fast reader and utter long long words with no problem whatsoever!
