Voice Description

I'm new to this whole field. A friend who does voice-over work heard my voice projected over an intercom system and was taken aback by how nice she found my voice. I've been told this many times and I finally have the courage to put myself out there. I have a very neutral, standard American accent. You might say, I'm afflicted with that monosyllabic, no character accent found in the Pacific Northwest. My voice tends to be a medium deep, great for narrative, documentary type projects, presentations and PSAs. I can also speak fast and clearly, which I think would fit well for radio commercials. I do have many character voices, but they're pretty offbeat. One of them is the Canadian news reporter. It's very subtle, but very workable if anyone found that interesting to work with. I have a good range and I am very expressive with my voice, which is why I am open to video game work and other character work for commercials, radio, internet or television. Overall, I have a very versatile voice.

Additional Skills

The only recent experience that is relevant to this skill is my ability to speak well in public. I teach private cooking classes to small groups of people, but in the past have taught to larger groups. I highly enjoy speaking in public. I have also published a few videos on my Facebook page. They are all raw, mainly about documenting the minor blurbs of my life. It's not much to brag about, but I hope my voice sample does me some justice.
