My Voice Experience

My first vocal adventure began as a broadcast/media relations intern for a local minor league hockey team, which required me to provide on-air score reports surrounding the world of sports, and even interviews with team coaches during game intermissions. My accentuating style earned the respect and regard of my internship boss (the play-by-play man and media relations manager of the team) and many of his colleagues in the business, and from then on I have been pursuing voice-over opportunities of any kind. Further experience includes serving as a master of ceremonies for various celebrations involving over 200 people, and participating in college-run podcast programs at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I have recently graduated from the college, and now I am continuing the pursuit of the voice-over opportunities out there. I am eager to learn new things, engage in various vocal styles, and become a workable artist for those who are interested in my work.

My Training

I learned to be a true voice-over while announcing sports scores and interviewing team coaches while being a broadcast/media relations intern for the Las Vegas Wranglers hockey organization. This experience then continued in college-run podcasts, college radio station promos, and several DJ gigs. I had actually realized my passion for this work while enlisted in the military, where my weather forecast briefs (before 30-200 pilots in attendance) were respected and regarded due to vocal projection along with thorough research.

Additional Skills

I am a growing worker in this field, and I never cease to experience new vocal styles. I am in television news broadcasting which opens me to various opportunities to learn from the anchors and reporters with regard to vocal performance, accentuation, and writing copy. Furthermore, the production department at the news station is familiar with my potential as a voice over and has given me opportunities to record my readings of several of their commercial scripts.
