My Voice Experience

I am an aspiring voice actor. I completed a Voice Over course at a film studio and was strongly encouraged to pursue a career in voiceover work. Two days after I finshed the class, a producer referred me to audition for a :30Television and :60 Radio spots. She listened to my demo and was very impressed with my voice talents. She gave me the assignment, and my spots aired on Cable and Radio in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

My Training

I earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Radio-TV-Film: News and Public Affairs. I was a staff journliast for my college newspaper and also a TV reporter for several projects. I was a newscaster for a my college radio station as well. I have always been involved in performing arts, studying violin and piano as well as being cast in musicals. I completed a Voice Over course at a film studio. The class allowed the students booth time and the opportunity to learn all types of voiceovers.

Additional Skills

I have been in the advertising field for 20 years. I have been exposed to a myriad of day-to-day functions at ad agencies. Currently, I am working for a small Hispanic agency and am learning about each step of the process from the business pitch to filming the creative and then planning and executing the buys. I work with our production manager on certain projects and have access to voiceover scripts. I have written :60, :30 and :15 radio scripts, which aired on Dallas radio stations.
