My Voice Experience

I have practically no voice over experience.

Since early 2007, I have been involved with a handful of amateur projects via a Voice Acting forum to get some experience.

Prior to that, I had been working on a number of different Helpdesks for 8 years, which gave me the opportunity to develop a calm, soothing tone with which to reassure customers as well as a confident, professional approach.

My Training

Other than my time spent on Helpdesks, I have no training or education in voiceovers.

I have a great deal of singing experience, having joined a choir at an early age followed by experience at solo, small group and large group singing.

My Studio Equipment

All my work is recorded directly onto my iMac using the "Audacity" software. I use a Plantronics SP500 headset.

Additional Skills

As I have mentioned in other sections, I have experience working on Helpdesks (with a calm, measured voice) and also singing experience. I also enjoy films, many types of music and art, all of which helps inspire my work.

Additionally, since 2002 I have been reading the books of Terry Pratchett to my wife. This has given me experience with a wide range of accents as well as a wide range of tones.
