Voice Description
I have a naturally deep voice and I tend to be soft spoken. However, I am able to flex this feature of my voice into a variety of roles. I can perform both male (youth to young adulthood) and female voices. I can perform with a no nonsense professional voice for business work, phone recordings, etc. as well as playful, fun voice and a deep, smooth "sexy".
Animals have never been a problem for me-most livestock and several wild animals (wolves, owls, and the like)
Most of the dialects I perform are British, and my best set are Cockney, a nasal English (best, I've found, for villains and neurotic characters), and a softer, more gentle feminine stock British. I am also capable of a French dialect which is quite strong, as well as a deep south "Southern Belle" dialect and a brassier "Bronx" dialect. I'm currently trying to relearn Irish.

My Voice Experience
I am currently acting in a traveling theatre troupe, and I have been called upon to perform several different dialects, and even cross-gender roles. This is the beginning of my fourth season and I have performed in approximately seven productions, and we are currently working on our next performance.
My Training
I have been with the theatre troupe mentioned above since Fall of 2002. My major, English literature, has required me on more than one occassion to perform scenes of Shakespeare and read poetry aloud. I've had to learn sensitivity to subtleties like line breaks and punctuation within such things.
I've also taken a Radio and Television performance course with a teacher who clarified phonetics and proper pronunciation, as well as basics of actual radio and television presence, including, but not limited to such things as proper movement, appearance, and distance from equipment. I attended this class in the spring of 2005 at the University of South Alabama.

Additional Skills
I am an English major about to graduate with my bachelor's degree. Afterward I will begin my master's studies.
I've worked in sales and customer service for two and a half years, which, naturally, augments the use of voice and some character work. After all, who can be cheerful all the time but the mask one wears at work?
