I am an actress and can do various characters in all genres such as Shakespearean, comedic, dramatic, horror, and can even produce older or younger children's voices if needed. Additionally, I can give you quality voice overs in many accents such as Standard American, Southern, Formal British, Cockney, Irish, Scotish, Australian, Afrikaans, African and Neutral or International. I also offer hard sell and soft sell techniques.

My voice can be professional and smooth for business presentations, fun and intersting for commercials, friendly and attractive for children's story narrations or deep and sultry for adult narrations.

My Voice Experience

My voice skills began to emerge during my years acting on stage and singing. My singing coach, Heather Lee Graham, described my voice as "very pleasing to the ear".

I then decided to use my voice talents and joined with voice coach Steve Woods, a well known and respected voice artist and radio DJ personality. Since then, I have been providing my voice talents for a company called Radio Retail who produce in-store commericals for the largest chain of supermarkets in Southern Africa (Shopright, OK, and Checkers). I have also recorded in Afrikaans and English for the SABC (South African Broadcasting Commission).

I have further broadened my voice over talents to include online presentations for Clue Systems Consulting and Furnished Homes(website). I also produce property walkthrough's for Clue System's many clientelle.

My experiance with acting for the past 20 years, especially in children's theatre has allowed me to develop various character voices like the fairy queen, pirate, roly poly bird, elephant who lost his trunk, lion and much more, as well as captivating narrative skills.

I have also developed a good sense of timing for comedy and can deepen my voice for older characters as well as offering a warm, sultry sound for more mature voice overs which I have done for professional and amatuer theatre in everything from "The Enormous Crocodile" to Shakespeare's "A Winter's Tale" and Noel Coward's "Blythe Spirit".

My Training

I studied acting at the Cape Academy of Dramatic Art (CADA) in Cape Town from 2002 to 2003.

I had vocal training with Heather Lee Graham from 1999 to 2003 and sang in various concerts, eistedfodds, and theatre productions.

I went to Steve Wood for voice coaching in 2000.

Additional Skills

Aside from voice skills, I am a trained ballet dancer and have been doing ballet, modern, jazz and contempory for the past 21 years. I also do tae bo, stretching and toning, and aerobics.

My career in writing, I believe, is an advantage. I write many of my own scripts for voice overs I have done. I also write SEO articles, web content, media releases, novels, children's stories, company profiles and film scripts. Through all the research I have done, I have a vast knowledge of many industry sectors such as Forex, animals, property, weddings, design, yoga, pilates, IT, automotive, medical and much more.

In my spare time I love going to the beach, shopping, watching movies and I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 year old daughter.
