Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Being of British nationality, I foucs mainly on my native accent free voice. But I can also provide a variety of British accents and dialects which include; Yorkshire, Cornish, Posh Londoner, Cockney style South Londonner, Liverpool, Birmingham, Welsh, Southern Irish, Scottish, Devonshire. I also have a selection of foreign accents which include; American (Californian and general American), French, Australian, German, Greek, Russian.
I think my impersonation of a Frenchman in the style of Inspector Clousaeu, has been widely accepted as 'excellent', by many people!!

My Voice Experience

I have always been very interested in accents and the way people speak, since I was a kid. I have been told many times, over the years, that I should use my voices. Apart from a voice over I did for DubaiFM back in the 90's, I am a relative beginner to the voice over Industry, having strted in early 2010. Although I have already, sucessfully completed several projects for various clients, one of which was a TV commercial for a UK production company. This was aired on UK national TV as well as all the major satelite channels.

I also have on going work with an e learning provider, as well as an online web commercial company. I'm always looking to further my skills in the voice over industry and to gain as much experience as possible in this exciting and interesting industry.

My Training

I have been professionally trained, having completed a diploma course in voice over training by studying the 'Hudson Voice Method'. A unique voice training course developed by probably, one of the leading voice trainers in the world, Steve Hudson, (the voice of the original Old Spice ad). I am also an experienced musician with over 25 years playing. I have also had my own musicians agency and have sent bands to various parts of the world, working mainly within the International 5 star hotel circuit, so I have a lot of experience within the entertainment industry already. I have excellent timing, which is ideal for voice over work, as this helps in recording, which in turn can keep overall costs down on a project where the budget is low, by not having to do to many retakes, or even any retakes at all!

Additional Skills

I have over 25 years experience in the music and entertainment industry and I am also a professional Bass player. I have worked in various musical situations over the years, this has encompassed; International 5 star hotels, luxury cruise ships, caberet backing, studio and concert work. I have also had experience as a film extra. And have been a successful band leader as well as having my own entertainment agency for 3 years. I am a quick learner and easy to work with. Can give direction as well as receive it well. Always open and willing to learn something new to further my skills and experience.
