Voice Description

I have always been told that I speak well and have a very distinctive voice. I first received most of my compliments when I worked drive through at a fast food restaurant. Customers would suggest that I work with telecommunications or anything that dealt with voiceovers.
I have also been suggested to work with toddlers because my calming voice will make them listen when spoken to.

Although I do not think that I can sing people often assume that I can because my voice is melodic. Even when I sing along to songs on the radio people take notice. However I believe if I took voice lessons then, I too would hear what they are hearing. Anytime I call over a friend’s house or a business, the acquaintance of that person only need to hear me speak once, and from then on they will know it is me; because they say my voice is very distinctive.
I have even been told by random people at my church after being on the pulpit for 2 minutes that they can listen to me speak all day.

My Voice Experience

I have had two on air experiences; I was the reader for "Evensong" a Sabbath closing worship service which is broadcast from Collegedale SDA Church of Southern Adventist University in Collegedale Tennessee on 90.5 WSMC a classical music station. This special occasion occurred twice during 2001-02 of my academic year.

My Training

My most formal voice training is from the numerous choral ensembles that I joined throughout my education.

My last voice training was at Southern Adventist University where I took a music course, singing with the women's choral called "Bel Canto". Other than that my unique and attractive voice is a God given gift.

Additional Skills

I am currently a fashion design while attending there I have had two opportunity to study in London. This gives me a first person opportunity to hear and understand the accent of their language.

There I learned how to advertise and get noticed in the industry in appropriately presenting photography, themes, and articles.

My professor praised me for having the ability descriptive writing and suggests that I considered Journalism as a minor. Though journalism is what one can call a silent voice, I think it would give me great opportunity to write or edit; then later read as a narrator for films, fictional and non-fiction audio.
