Voice Description

My voice has many variations depending on what the job is. I can sound silly and highly characterized for cartoons and other character voices, calm, warm, and reserved for narration spots, and then I can even just sound like the average college student or twenty-something, like the "Dude you're getting a Dell" guy or the older brother with a friendly kind of character.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I'm able to do an array of accents and dialects including Indian, Scottish, Southern, Italian, Chicago, and characterizations such as the "surfer dude" voice, hillbilly, pirate, overactive sports announcer (think Chris Berman, or even more subdued like Thom Brennaman), geeky high school kid, sinister villain, nervous guy, interior monologue guy, etc.

As far as impersonations, I'm able to do cartoon characters as well as real people such as Henchmen 21 and 24 (The Venture Bros), Meatwad (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) Apu (The Simpsons), Squidward (Spongebob Squarepants), Kermit the Frog, Dr. Phil, Sean Connery, Tommy Wiseau, etc

My Voice Experience

I've been able to be the narrator for a serial radio drama at WCRX 88.1 FM in Chicago called "Babylon, Wisconsin". I narrated the opening an closing of each episode. I also performed an episode live during Columbia College Chicago's "Evening of Radio Theater", as well as performing as a character during a reading of "It Burns Me Up" by Ray Bradbury.

My Training

I have a Bachelors Degree in Radio Broadcasting (Talent/Production) and was able to take a number of voice classes while in school including, Voice Over I, Voice Over Demo Production, and Voice Acting for Animation. I was able to study under several different people i the voice acting business and learned a great deal from their instruction.

My Studio Equipment

I currently have Adobe Audition set up at my house for editing. I also have access to a studio that is equipped with mics for recording, Pro Tools, and Adobe Audition as well that I have used often. I also have an Edirol R-09 hand held recorder for quick and easy voice recording.

Additional Skills

Since I majored in radio, I was often doing projects in class such as making and voicing my own commercials and promos, as well as being on-air at the student station for 1 year. I was also able to produce and voice segments for these shows.
