Voice Description
I once had an E-mail conversation with Julie Strain, the actress who played the heroine in the animation classic film HEAVY METAL 2000, where she told me I had a great voice and should pursue voiceover work. My voice sounds romantic and humorous. I can sound serious as in a voiceover for a National Geographic series. I can sound romantic for adult voiceover work. I can sound humorous as in funny messages for voicemail or greeting cards. Overall, my voice is upbeat and positive, loving voiceover jobs that fit my romantic and humorous style.

My Voice Experience
Does singing in the shower count as experience? LOL Well, I have no experience in voiceover work. But, when I had that conversation with Julie Strain described in my voice description, I figured I could make a good voice actor for such things as animated films and National Geographic specials. So here I am attempting to see if I might be a great radio voice, or that sexy voice you hear for on-hold messages. LOL I am pursuing the American dream!
My Training
My college education consists of AS degrees in Computer Programming, Accounting, and Business; AA degrees in Liberal Arts and Social Science; and a double-major BS degree in Management of Computer Information Systems and Management. That education has supported a career working as a supply manager for the Department of Defense since 1982.
I communicate with hundreds of different types of people from all over the world every month as a supply manager at the Air National Guard Headquarters located at Andrews AFB, MD.
My personal voiceover education would be in my love for animated films, such as the film HEAVY METAL 2000, or other classics like the recent HAPPY FEET. I am attempting to see if I can be a part of that world too.

Additional Skills
I am very patriotic in that my entire career has been working as a civilian supply manager helping to protect America. Next week, I will be travelling to Memphis, TN to work with our C-5 aircraft unit there to consolidate our supply requirements for that aircraft with those of our counterparts in the Active Duty.
Pursuing voiceover work is like a dream, something that can only be done in America. So, based on Julie Strain's comment on my voice talent, here I am pursuing that dream.
The National Geographic Channel is my favorite because I love all things nature. In a few minutes a show is coming on called THANKSGIVING UNSTUFFED, explaining all the myths and traditions of Thanksgiving Day. I would love to be that voiceover guy doing that show!
So, if I can find voiceover work relating to nature, animtated films, cartoons, commercials, and anything to do with romance, I will be a very happy man. It is not about the money for me, but the adventure in sharing my voice talent with others.
