Voice Description

My voice is often used for 'sexy' ads given that it is quite deep without being masculine. I can also competently speak the English language in both standard English and North American accents as well as my warm native Irish tones. I am often asked to carry off upper class English and Irish accents, as well as characters such as Marlyn Monroe. I have recorded many times as a 'little boy', baby girl and chipmunks, and other animal characters ranging fromt the very large to the very small.

My Voice Experience

I have been a professional voice over artist and radio presenter in Ireland for more than 10 years. I have recorded hundreds of radio ads, both national and local, TV ads, again national and local and some for the UK market. I am very 'big' in corporate films and CD roms! I am also the lovely 'on hold' voice for a number of Irish companies.

My Training

I trained as an actress in London in the early 1990s at Theatre Arts, London. I went into radio presenting full time in 1995. In 2003 I moved to TV production, directing a 40 minute weekly magazine programme. I have produced more than 50 hours of television. In 2005 I left to pursue full time work purely as voice over artist. In the past 12 months I have recorded VOs for educational DVDs for second level schools, corporate films, radio and TV ads.

Additional Skills

With a background in acting my ability to interpret a script is very good. I also have the gift of being good at sight reading. This makes my work very fast and efficient without losing any quality. My knowledge of TV and radio is very helpful.
