Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I am able to characterise various Australian, English, Irish, American and several other types of accents; also "character"-type voices such as "English Cockney", "grizzled prospector", "Noo Yawk mobster", Irish accents and other character voices.
My Voice Experience
I began doing voice-overs for a friend in 1984, providing "on-hold" telephone messages which were used by various Australian companies; I have worked with several churches, providing voice talents for audio-visual and video productions; I worked for 2 years with CBMI (Christian Blind Mission International) in Melbourne, Australia, reading audiobooks for the blind and visually impaired; I have worked with council festivals, providing regular announcements over the outdoor PA system; my latest project was the voice-over for a DVD produced by UNOH (United Neighbours Of Hope) which dealt with the present military junta in Burma (Myanmar). There have been several other projects over the years, such as emcee'ing dozens of weddings, parties and other functions... too many to list.
My Training
After graduating from high school, I attended CCC School of Creative Arts in Sydney. I currently work as a professional musician (singer/guitarist/drummer), working solo/duo/with bands and have done so for the last 22 years. I have some acting experience (amateur productions only).
My Studio Equipment
I record onto computer using Nuendo software and editing in Wavelab. I can produce and edit tracks, convert them to .mp3 files and send them anywhere in the world by email. I use an AKG C3000 microphone and compression/limiting software.
Additional Skills
I am friendly, obliging, honest and reliable. I am easygoing and relate well to clients. Over 22 years working in pubs, clubs, restaurants, music festivals and various other venues has taught me to deal with "the public" in a friendly way. I take my various jobs seriously, and will seek to provide results to the best of my ability.
