My voice is melodic and versatile. I do narrations, but as a voice actor, I also enjoy doing characters like far-out creatures, superheroes, villains, everyday dads, working husbands, and others. My voice can be smooth or gruff, raspy or commanding, soothing or scary, authoritative or silly.

My Voice Experience
In high school, I wrote and directed a play which won the grand prize in the Wisconsin Public Radio Young People's Radio Competition. Since then, I have spent more than 20 years in radio and television, many of them at San Diego's public television station KPBS as a production specialist.
My Training
I graduated from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa, with a major in mass communications and a minor in speech & theatre. I interned as a reporter and worked as an on-air talent in the Sioux City market. In San Diego, I attended the graduate film program at SDSU, and I spent 16 years working for KPBS television.
I further honed my voice-over skills in the excellent workshops taught by James Alburger and Penny Abshire.
My Studio Equipment
I have several microphones, but I primarily work with an MXL990 with an M-Audio Mobile PreUSB, a Fujitsu laptop, and Bose speakers.
Additional Skills
I have worked in television as a director, technical director, audio technician, lighting assistant and cameraman.
