Characters/Impersonations include: Any type of Mom, Mrs. Santa Claus, Mrs. Butterworth (pancake syrup), "Edna" from THE INCREDIBLES, Grandma, Southern girl, goofy bug voices like "Merva" the spider or "Mrs. Ralphie Roachie." Her various idiotic "bug" voices could also be a crotchity old woman or nasal speaking snob or some cartoon character.

My Voice Experience

Who falls asleep during a recording session? I humbly raise my hand and admit I did. But that just goes to show you how successful I am at doing my job! You see, I was voicing Kaiser Permanente's Relaxation and Sleep CD and mid sentence I got sleepy, closed my eyes and lost my place in the copy! We all had a huge laugh over it in the studio.

I've been in this industry since I was 18 years old - when the ANNCR read was popular. After trying to "be all things to all people" I realized that as hard as I try, I am not a Hard Sell Commercial voice talent. I could have picked up on that pretty quickly just by listening to different clients' comments. They were very similar to one another's: "We LOVE your voice." and "Your voice is so soothing."

There's no question about it, my best work is done for sleep and relaxation projects, health & beauty spas, resorts....any project that wants to emote a sense of tranquility, warmth, rest, contentment, etc.

There is also an authoritative quality about my voice, since it's deep. While keeping my calming tone, this firm delivery is effective for instructional videos, tutorials, etc.

I enjoy laughing. Who doesn't? Seriously, I enjoy coaching girl's volleyball, leading worship for children's sunday school at church and fishing among other things.

I also enjoy cooking and baking. My kids say I should open my own restaurant. They have started a menu which currently has only 4 items on it which apparently means I'm waaaaaay away from Master Chef level. My HOMEMADE ALMOND ROCA made it to the menu. It is insanely good. Honestly, one piece and you'll be dreaming about it. It's goodies like this that my clients look forward to every Christmas.
