I can do the big "Voice of god" for trailers. Or lighter voices such as for animation and dry, humorous voices. Also deep narrations, or "guy next door" sounding commercials. Even the serious and professional sounding voice for presentations. Oh yea, and if you need that aggressive "sports guy" sounding voice, hey I can even do that!

My Voice Experience

I've done voice over trailer work for Jamie Foxx and Martin Lawrence. Some work on a celebrity poker show, and also some live voice over work for a big, annual comedy show.

For the Jamie and Martin trailer, I had to use the "big action drama voice". The poker show was a simple narrative style voice. And the comedy show was as an announcer of the artists who performed.

My Training

The experience I have in voice is really from my career in singing. I've been singing for almost twenty years. I was signed as an artist to Motown records, and since then, I've been producing artist and singing background vocals. Also singing the demo's that I produce. You have to be articulate and be able to sell your voice when selling a song. The artist that you're selling to has to feel like it is them who is singing the song.
So this is where my experience in voice and being behind a mic with major artists, comes from.

My Studio Equipment

I work on an 8-core "Nehalem" processor Mac pro. I sequence in the latest update of Logic pro 8, about to get 9. Have all the compressors, limiters, and voice over hardware that's needed for a great sounding VO.

Additional Skills

As I said before, I have been a music producer and singer for years. This is where my experience with being behind a mic comes from. I've worked with artists like Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, Whitney Houston, Babyface, Snoop Dogg and so on.
In working with anyone, you have to sort of become that person because you"re writing as if you are that person. You even, at times, have to sound like that person if you're doing background vocals for them. I went on tour with Jamie Foxx and Babyface and have either written, produced or sang bg's for one or more of these artists.
