My Voice Experience
You could say I've been doing voices since I was a kid, recording stories and my own dramas and comedies on a home recorder since I was seven. Once I left the parents' home, I got into radio in college, even did local sportscasting, and later transferred to Los Angeles, where I got my first animation job in the anime series Fighting Spirit. For the last several years, I've been recording for commercials, animation, video games, and podcasts, and now I have a professional home studio. And I still have as much fun, as I used to do in my own home studio as a kid, with a ten-dollar tape recorder.
My Training
BA in Performance and Film Studies from Asbury College
Completed the Los Angeles Film Studies Center program,
Theatrical, on-camera, and voice training since 16 years old with numerous instructors.
Most recent Los Angeles voiceover training and workshops: William Holmes, Peter Spellos, Bob Bergen, Brian Cummings, and Daran Norris.
Interesting notes:
performed in the men's glee club in college
Did Fiddler on the Roof twice and could do it a third time!
Won award for Radio Announcer of the Year at WACW in Kentucky
First commercial ever was for Chik-Fil-A
My Studio Equipment
Have a Xenyx mixer, MXL Condenser Mic, Cool Edit Pro on one computer and Pro Tools on the other, Final Cut Pro, and about six thousand sound effects and music samples. Can edit my VO recordings and put them as any audio format you need in a jiffy! (I just love the word "jiffy")
Additional Skills
Editor on Final Cut Pro, Swing Dance Instructor, and watches too many cartoons.
