Voice Description

I have a very adaptable voice that's generally mid to deep with a great tone.
Conversational, reads with character and real (non-radio) sounding voices are my specialty.

That being said, you need urgent and punchy? That's me. Young and bubbly? That's me. Strong and professional? That's me?

If you can think of a style, I can create it. If you like a particular voice, I can replicate it.

I can read for a funeral home, wildlife documentary, beer commercial, cartoon character and radio imaging in the same session.

My Voice Experience

I began working in Melbourne as a voice over after my initial training in 2002. During that time I voiced ads for Dulux paint and a number of Swimwear retailers. I began working as a creative writer at a provincial radio station where I wrote and voiced upwards of a dozen ads per day.

I then became a breakfast announcer and continued in this job for for 3 years, using my vocal range to produce characters for prank calls on a daily basis. I also regularly wrote and voiced comic sketches for the show using a broad range of voices. On top of this, during those 3 years I would read between 6 and 10 ads per day for all 8 radio station in our newtork, including major clients like Ford, McDonalds, Harvey Norman and Mobil.

Using this experience I returned to Melbourne and have recorded ads for radio commercials for Appliances Online, The Bike Hub, Total Tools, Skate and Surf. I have narrated instruction videos for Work safety and my voice has been used for radio and televison Imaging.

My Training

2002 - Completed The 'Introduction to Voice-Overs' course with the National Performers Studio.

2003 - Completed the 'Introduction to Radio' course with the Melbourne Radio School.

2008 - Completed the Australian Film Television and Radio School, 'Certificate in radio Programming'.

My Studio Equipment

The studio I have access to, presents regular live radio programming in Melbourne and therefore is of a very high professional standard. The studio has recently been upgraded to use fully digital panels with high quality behringer microphones. The recording software available is Adobe Audition, Pro Tools and Sony Sound Forge.

Additional Skills

I have 2 years full time creative writing experience which gives me the ability to analyse scripts better and provide a more suitable voice and read.

I also have had substatial production experience.
I have received added vocal training from my time with the Melbourne Academy Boys Choir...
