My Voice Experience

I started doing voice work for churches when I was in college to make extra money while I was studying theater and voice. After a few months I was recommended by word of mouth to an advertising firm and started doing commercials with them. After graduating college I worked for a while in professional theater to get my equity card doing smaller jobs for a couple Texas advertising firms. After deciding that wasn't the life I wanted (too much travel), I took a position as Director of Theater Arts at my lifelong church of about 3,000 members. I continue to do commercial voice over for the medical and technology fields as well as numerous promos, commercials, and theatrical productions at my church and local theaters.

My Training

I have a degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Texas Tech University with a minor in Theater Performance. I have nearly 60 hours of audited courses in graduate theater and music performance (producers and directors care far less about what your degree says, and more about what you can actually deliver on stage) for experience. I have performed professionally with the Cedar Rapids Opera and Moonlight Musical Amphitheater, totaling 18 lead roles over the course of ten years. I am a long time student of Media Arts with extensive knowledge in the Adobe line of post-production software and media systems integration.

My Studio Equipment

I have an AKG Perception 420, and I capture and post produce with a MOTU UlrtaLite and Adobe Audition CS5.5 and a pair of KRK VXT 8's. I can deliver in any format, with an industry standard 96/24 sample/depth.
