Voice Description

I have an unusually versatile voice for female voiceovers. From sultry and sexy, to loud and bombastic, to silly and childlike, to calm and authoritative depending on the needs of your project. I also do a few dialects such as Irish and Scottish or American Southern. I can also do comical versions of French or German but I wouldn't consider them particularly accurate. Having grown up in the Midwest I naturally have a "neutral" accent ala Johnny Carson.

Box Office Manager for The Foothill Theatre Company - extensive phone work. I was once told by a customer that I had a very "900" quality to my voice over the phone.

My Training

25+ years experience in theater both professional and community, including musicals and opera.

12+ years vocal study (mostly classical).

Collector of tongue twisters and had a grandmother that encouraged me to enunciate. (glad now that I listened to her)

Sound designer for a few theater productions and sound tech as well. Also worked for an audio equipment company after college (set-up and take-down for DJs).

I've worked extensively with Macintosh computers since 1985 and also have PC experience as well.

I'm extremely well traveled (Europe, Austrailia, Africa, former USSR, China and SE Asia) and love to read both fiction and non-fiction.
