Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I can, however, change my voice to sound much younger, also old. I can do young child, and valley girl characterizations I can also do characters (think Grover, Ernie, Elmo) I can do British (high class and low) as well as Irish.
My Voice Experience
I have twenty five years experience reading children's books, and creating character voices for each character in the story. Including boys, girls, chickens, monsters, lions, witches ("I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!") Heros, villians, and everything in between. My dream job is voicing a cartoon character like Kim Possible, or Melody from "Josie and the Pussycat's".
My Training
I started performing at 12 The Academy of Music in Philadelphia as the Midshipmite in The Savoy Company's performance of Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinnafore. I've also sung in various church choirs my whole life!
I received my Associates Degree in General Studies from Delaware County Community College this past May. Summa cum laude (4.0)
I've raised four children with only one tatoo (that I know of) between them. No drug addictions, arrests, or teenage pregnancies. One has her Masters. Two have graduated college, one has one more year, and one is going into eighth grade. One races quarter midget cars, and plays lacrosse. One has done translation for one of the Italian representatives to the European Union. One has danced professionally for The Houston Ballet. Another has played soccer in sweden and is on her way to a BSN in Nursing at NYU!
I graduated from Lower Merion High School in 1980
My Studio Equipment
Nada, zip, nothin', but I do have a computer. My Uncle ran sound at the Academy for years, though, so I'm not completely naive, and I'm a quick study.
Additional Skills
I've rehabbed 9 or 10 properties doing much of the work and all of the decorating. My husband and I designed and built our home.
I paint, act, and sing, just don't ask me to dance!
I'm liberal, flexible, smart, artistic, responsible and good humored. What more could you ask for?
