From Walt Disney World and Universal Studios to Pratt & Whitney and Darden Restaurants, my voice overs have run the gamut in terms of style and flavor. I earned an FMPTA award for the Best Female Voice Talent for the State of Florida for the very first voice over job I ever did... for Best Start on Breast Feeding...
From the launch of The Golf Channel I served as their station voice for several years and was the voice of Disney Radio for tourists driving down through Ocala, FL
During political season I am sought after by political clients and have voiced spots for many winning candidates.
My talents extend to ADR/Looping, where I've worked on "Sheena" (and did all of Gina Lee Nolan's ADR) and "Fortune Hunter" here in Orlando.
From warm, friendly and authoritative to quirky or sexy, I am as versatile as the jobs that come my way.
B.A.with Honors in Drama from Vassar College;
Mel Johnson Cold Reading Workshop;
Voice overs with Joan Bogdan, NYC.
First Soprano with Vassar Madrigal Singers; Cleveland Orchestra Summer Chorus (Blossom Music Festival Chorus); Cathedral Church of St.Luke; First Baptist Church of Orlando.
Musicals including "Oh, Coward," "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown (Lucy)", "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Hedy LaRue)", "Dames at Sea (Ruby)"
I have a Mac Computer with Garage Band. An Audio Technica mic and Sony MDR 7506 headphones. Designated audio booth in my home.
I do a lot of audio book reading, as I am an excellent reader and very efficient. My inflections are generally spot-on.
Because I have an excellent command of English grammar, I am also a good editor and can find errors that the client may not have noticed.
My college degree is in Drama, so I am classically trained and have much stage experience. I also studied voice in college with Albert van Ackere and have what I consider to be a "lyrical" voice. I consider myself a voice actor - I can read and interpret copy, and I take direction well. Because I am efficient, I don't waste studio time.
Also, I am a long distance runner (Cleveland Revco Marathon) and swimmer, so I have very good lungs! I am a non-smoker, so my voice is clear and distinct.
A portion of my v/o proceeds goes to the Humane Society of the United States. I have rescued many animals over the years and now have three pets...one of whom, my dog Foster, you can see on my website:
Although I am now in Orlando, I have lived and worked in NYC and am well-traveled...including Indonesia (where I imported clothes from Bali) and Europe (speaking some French and Italian).
I owned a Bed & Breakfast in Bar Harbor, ME for 5 years, all the while doing v/o work from my home studio for clients like Home Shopping Network.
