Voice Description

I have a wide range of flexibilty when it comes to doing voice overs. I am using this avenue to venture out into the voice-over world. I am an excellent singer and can do imititations of singers such as Mariah carey, Aaron Nivel, Alanis morsette others. I am able to do animal noises such monkeys, horses, cawing birds and some jungle ambiance sounds(you know...the ones you hear in the distance but never really see the creature making the noise). I have an excellent ear (due to musical abilities) and I am able to quickly pick up on many voice styles and flavors. If needed I will also be able to do scripts in Spanish. I was born in the Dominican Republic came to the U.S. at the age of 4 and I also recently spent a year in Spain studying the language. Still, I have a very clear american accent. Also I am able to do a British accent and a Jamaican accent (my mother and father are Jamaican). If u need a sexy diva voice, u got it. Need a good' ol southern bell sweetheart, look no further. My speakin voice is very clear and smooth. I am able to transform my voice to accurately fit the project that I am assigned. Flexibility and acurracy is KEY and flexibility and accuracy is what i got!

My Voice Experience

One thing that I did for about a year straight was change my voice mail greeting on my cell phone about once every two weeks. I have been everything from an uptight lawyer to a news reporter. An annoying lil girl to an over-caffinated woman who just can't seem to stop rambling, and so many other ridiculous roles that I can't keep track of. I have always been told that I would do a great job as a voice over... especially for singing and for inventing new sounds for cartoon characters. I have performed in a number of college productions such as a famous singer named Kelly Woods.I have played religious roles such as women from the bible. I have played roles even as a man before (Allen Iverson). So the majority of my experience has come from my acting. I just love to have fun...and that has been my experience, my drive and now my inspiraton to pursue this goal.

My Training

Like I explained in my experience aspect, being a voice over is something I would seriously like to get started in. I am young (19) and as far a professional experience is concerned have not gained as much exposure as I would like. Still that doesn't take away from my ability to do a job well done!

I am an excellent song writer and have recorded before. I have been singing since the age of 3 and have done solo projects, sang in acapella groups, done duets with males and females, and participated in choirs as well. So if you need some one with a creative edge, I am a great candidate! :)
