Voice Description

I was a star reader/vocalizer already in grade school and was often choosen to read aloud certain passages from selected literature because of my ability to identify with the writer's message and then vocalize it effectively.

Expressive for narrations - for example: I love to vocalize the writings in the biblical book of Jeremiah where, when God speaks to the prophet, He expresses His anger and dismay with the people. I am good at vocalizing the emotions of God in this particular book of the Bible.

My voice also does quite well in the online/audio dating (non adult!) area. In this genre, my voice brings out a unique lilting tone, every so often accompanied by a cute kind of giggle or chuckle that gets 'I was flat on the floor hearing even only your voice' responses.
I once recorded an ad on a audio dating service some years back and had over 100 responses to it the next day. Most of these responses started out with "wow your voice is incredible" and like responses. My voice might well be best suited for audio like this.

The dating service sent me a copy of this recording and I might still have that, I will check on that and update my profile accordingly.

I am a native german (naturalized american) and still and all have that - of what people refer to 'charming' touch of an accent.

My Voice Experience

I actually do not have any "experience" per se .. other than an unusually high response to my audio recording on the dating service I have mentioned previously.

I have worked in call centers in the past, and having my voice exposed to the public like this, have often received reactive compliments to my "unusal" voice from both, male and female callers, one person back in 2004 especially who urged me over and again to try my luck at "voice overs".

I am a high school graduate with some college credits, mostly "street smart" though.

Additional Skills

I have worked for many years in the legal profession as a legal secretary and paralegal. In this profession, I was the "voice" the caller first heard on the telephone and I am happy to say that often times my voice helped calm down emotional callers that were in distress and despair. I remember one lady in particular who called in with a unique problem and needed immediate legal help. I kept her on the phone reassuring her that things would be taken care of by our attorneys and she later did say "the voice of your secretary saved my day" ....
