Voice Description

My voice is a Deep Rich Sultry Female voice. To describe my voice it would be like the Country Butter commercial where you never see the faces but the female voice is somewhat like mine. I have the perfect phone recordings voice. I can also do Narrations as well, especially for documentaries and corporate CD's / DVD's. My voice can be sultry - many men have expressed that over the phone. My voice can be very energetic, spunky and fun like a radio personality. My voice can also be professional, reserved and very confident like a corporate manager. I'm versatile and am willing to learn character voices as well.

My Voice Experience

I have extreme experience working in the corporate environment. I have been working first for American Express Financial Advisors for 5 years in their headquarters in Minneapolis, MN then for the past year and a half I have been answering the phone as a Customer Service Rep for Washington Mutual Financial Services. I have been thoroughly trained in corporate etiquette, mannerisms and have been taught how to emphasize both by nurture and culture the ways of the corporate world. I have also, for about six months worked as a Sex Phone Operator. I have learned on that job how to make my voice appear sexy, and sultry and can be very slutty on the phone. I also learned how to be playful and cute through that experience. Earlier this year I had a weekly radio show with Kaleidoscope Radio Magazine where I trained my voice for radio and spot reading, as well as PSA's.

My Training

My training is simple. I went to St. Catherine's college In St. Paul, MN (1995) where I was an English Major and Film Minor. I went to the Brown institute In Minneapolis, MN (1998) for Broadcasting right after collage and learned all about my radio voice and how to read radio spots and do announcements. I have been in a writers program since high school, I have written parts for school plays and have done narrations during these plays. I have recently been trying to get back into radio by joining Kaleidoscope Radio Magazine (2005) and reading Spots through them and doing a weekly show early this year.

Additional Skills

I was also A mobile DJ for a part time job back in 2002 for almost a year. I loved that job. I can talk, play music and people will listen. I received my voice through my mother. She went to the same school that I ended up going to (Brown Institute) she also went in for Broadcasting and help start a community radio station that still plays to this date in Minneapolis, MN. I have been trained since birth how to use my voice. Because I am African American and grew up on both sides of the track I had to learn to speak properly in order for people to take me seriously and give me a chance. Because of my proper upbringing I am confident I can get a job anywhere. I just prefer to get a job using my voice.
