My Voice Experience

I grew up watching my mom and dad sing in churches and on various stages, and knew from a very young age singing was what I MUST do, whether or not I ever got paid for it. I love singing, and sing almost everywhere I go. I have performed the Star Spangled Banner, accapella, several times at various local baseball games and tournaments. I have experience singing in several choirs, including high school chorus (Saks High School, Anniston, AL, from 1981-1986), and several church choirs. I enjoy singing a range of songs,including southern gospel, contemporary Christian, spiritual, soft rock, easy listening, old standards, "torch" songs, jazz, country, and more. The recordings I have done have all been in a large group, such as choir at Alabama All-State, etc.

My Training

I have no real professional training, but several years of school and church choir training, inclucing12 years in choir in school; 3 of those in Robed Choir (Saks High School Robed Choir, Anniston, AL, 36206). I have sung solo's and with various singing groups (not professionally...only as a hobby) for approximately 20 years. I was blessed to be selected for Alabama All-State choir (high-school students from all over the state, in a state wide mass choir) four years in a row. (1983-1986)Recieved all 1's for judged perfomances either on solo's or in ensembles approximately 4 years, or 8 performances, over a 4-5 year span. I have been a member of various church choirs for at least 22 years, approximately 7 or 8 years under the instruction of Bill Crowe, Music Teacher at Gadsden State College. I would love to do voiceover work, pre-recorded messages ("You have reached the offices of ____. Our offices hours are ___ to ___....") I would also love to do most any type of singing, including recording soundtrack demos.
