Although relatively new to the voiceover circuit, Monica is no novice when it comes to twisting her voice expressively to create lively and endearing characters. From a young age she would mimic the disney princesses with uncanny likeness, and had an exceptional knack for memorizing and reciting television jingles and commercials; not to mention producing her own amatuer radio shows. Having a history of commercial work for national television spots and after extensive training in voice and musical theatre, Monica has been able to hone her natural skills as a vocal artist. Her natural vocal quality has been described as soothing, with an almost electric quality behind it. She can portray a range of characters from bright and bubbly to sexy and smooth with enaging honesty or sharp comedic timing. She can be the kind of voice that draws you in and makes you want to play or to relax, or she can be the practical voice of reason that just seems to make sense. She is eager to turn her dynamic creative energies toward the voiceover industry!
Monica most recently trained with Bob Bergen in his animation VO workshop, where she was able to develop and stretch her skills as a character actress to create specific and diverse VO characters. She recieved a BA in theatre from Pepperdine University where she was awarded a scholarship, and studied such subjects as speech, singing, dance, communication, improvisation, and acting. She also studied at the NYU's CAP 21 professional track musical theatre program. She has studied with numerous singing and acting coaches and teachers throughout the years, including most recently Eizabeth Howard and Tom Todoroff. She currently performs with the mad-cap Troubadour Theatre Company in Burbank, CA, where she often gets to play with several different characters and practice her skills vocally engaging the audience!

In addition to her extensive training in the theatrical and vocal arts, Monica has also always had a keen ability to relate to people and make them feel comfortable. For her own personal growth and in a desire to better understand and foster deeper compassion for the people around her, she has studied subjects such as psychology, spirituality, and communication. Her subtle understanding of these nuances deepens her relatability to people, and her genuine desire to do make others feel respected and comfortable often makes her well recieved and easy to work with. She also has a genuine love of being playful, and playing with her voice to create uplifting and fun characters. :)
